"Highest degree of innovation paired with high customer benefit and market relevance"

as well as

"The seamless transition from indoor to outdoor is an innovation. There are
no comparable solutions on the market."

This is the short summary of the IFOY jury's test report and innovation check on the INDUROS transport robot.

The jury's verdict on the INDUROS underpins Innok Robotics' unique selling point as the market leader in the "multiterrain AMR" sector.

The IFOY AWARD (International Intralogistics and Forklift Truck of the Year Award) is an independent organization whose purpose is to recognize the best intralogistics products and solutions of the year and is highly recognized internationally with judges from all over the world.

Functionality / type of implementation

The fact that has so far prevented manufacturers from building similar mobile robots for outdoor use is that outdoor conditions are sometimes challenging. It's wet, hot, uneven, visibility can be poor, there are inclines and declines and many other challenges that often affect the reliable functioning of autonomous vehicles. This is precisely where the multiterrain AMR INDUROS comes into its own and shows its strengths.

The implementation of all functionalities looks well thought out. Today, Innok Robotics offers a holistic solution from a single source: Development, programming and assembly of the INDUROS, which moves extremely agilely in the outdoor area.

Novelty / innovation

There are no comparable solutions on the market. The seamless transition from indoor (navigation with lidar scanner) to outdoor (navigation with GPS/RTK) is an innovation here. Additional markings on the ground or induction loops in the floor are not required, even indoors. Other optional features to fulfill the function (for example, compressed air for cleaning the sensors) are implemented in a very innovative way, so that the device can also drive in heavy rain and does not stand still.

A truly unique feature of the INDUROS is the fully autonomous coupling and uncoupling of its trailers without the need for an operator to be present. The energy supply is also fully autonomous: the INDUROS drives itself to its base station and charges itself inductively there.

Customer benefits

In the past, transportation between the outdoor and indoor areas was carried out using conventional manual vehicles or transfer points. The INDUROS autonomizes this process and provides further customer benefits, especially for shift work.

Users of the INDUROS, which was used by the first pilot customer in logistics 4.5 years ago, include global corporations such as Kubota and Total Energies as well as small and medium-sized companies that transport spare parts, pallets, containers, mesh boxes or other goods on towable trolleys. The user-friendly Graphical User Interface (GUI) was developed for target groups that have no special robotics or IT experience. A modern web browser is all that is needed to access the GUI and operate the robot. However, it also supports familiar systems for order management and standards such as VDA5050 and more.

IFOY conclusion

The INDUROS is an important step towards fully autonomous transportation indoors, outdoors and between indoor and outdoor areas. There is potential for further development if the towing capacity is increased beyond a maximum of 700 kg. If there are also uneven floors or floors with thresholds indoors, the INDUROS also offers indoor application scenarios.
