Markgraf is investing in the future with its logistics and mobility center, where it is also using the autonomous transport robot INDUROS from Innok

The construction company Markgraf is breaking new ground and is the first construction company in Europe to use the innovative INDUROS transport robot from Innok Robotics. This step marks another milestone in the automation and digitalization of the medium-sized construction company, which, like Innok Robotics, has its roots in the Upper Palatinate. This is also an important signal for the entire construction industry, which is increasingly relying on automation and digitalization.

Innovative solutions in the new logistics and mobility center

With a budget of over 40 million euros, another Markgraf site is currently being built on 65,000 m² of floor space in Kemnath. In addition to the new logistics and mobility center, it will also be home to a training and education center. The INDUROS will equip the site with an autonomous transport system that efficiently links the various hall and outdoor areas of the site and is intended to further increase productivity in day-to-day operations. An environment that can currently only be fully autonomized with the INDUROS.

The INDUROS - multi-terrain and outdoor-capable

The INDUROS transport robot from Innok Robotics is a true all-rounder. It is multi-terrain capable and can work reliably both indoors and outdoors on a wide variety of ground conditions and in all weathers. This feature makes it particularly valuable for construction companies like Markgraf that require flexible and robust solutions. The reverse parking function with a trailer was also completed just in time for use at Markgraf. It was a function explicitly requested by Markgraf and the accompanying OTH Regensburg. It makes the INDUROS even more versatile and adaptable and shows how individually and quickly Innok Robotics can respond to customer requests. The project will then be further developed together during ongoing operations and the experience and improvements will be incorporated into series production.

Markgraf: A driver of innovation in the construction industry

Markgraf is known for its innovative strength and responsible approach. The company, which employs over 1000 people, realizes outstanding construction projects throughout Germany and always focuses on quality, reliability and adherence to deadlines. With the new logistics center and the integration of the INDUROS transport robot, Markgraf is once again demonstrating that it is prepared to invest in the future and use new technologies to optimize processes and make them more sustainable.

Markgraf was supported in the implementation of the automated transport system by the "Digitalized Construction" department of OTH Regensburg under Prof. Thomas Linner, whose outstanding expertise led to this innovative and everyday solution together with Innok.

Shaping the future together

"Innok Robotics is delighted to support Markgraf in this innovative project. The use of the INDUROS transport robot in the new logistics and mobility center sets an example for more efficient and future-oriented logistics in the construction industry. Together with Markgraf, we will continue to explore the possibilities of autonomous mobile robotics and set new standards,"
said Alwin Heerklotz, founder and CEO of Innok Robotics.
